Hey any of you customisers ever had this happen

I put the clear protective coating as I do on most of my customs on me hellspawn repaint and it looks like I glazed it like a donut! what the hell happened? I put this on my Redeemer and it was fine. same paints, everything but on Hellspawn it acted strange?

That totally sucks. I had it happen to some Warhammer toys once. It worked fine on some, but f'd up the paint on others.

it sucks because I did everything the same yet it ruined this one. guess I'll try and paint over it

to remove paint, buy a can of Easy-Off oven cleaner(NON-FUMING TYPE!!).
spray down the fig and wrap it up in a plastic bag overnight.
in the morning, wash it off, using an UNUSED toothbrush to get the nooks and crannies. USE GLOVES!!

you'll still have to start over, but you won't be clogging up the detailed parts of the sculpt.

That's why I don't use a sealer on my customs, man.

Right now, I store my custom figures in their clear packaging bubbles and away from sunlight. Knock on wood, they're holding up well.

Chaser, What type of sealer is it?? Matte, Gloss, or Dull/Flat?
LMK and we'll go from there.

Way back I made a Famous Cover (Mego-type) Colossus figure. The clear sealer I used reacted with the chrome paint and I was left with an absolute mess. [img]mad.gif[/img] Couldn't save it either...was a damn shame.
